So here we were are, six months on from the devastation of the Queensland floods and sadly so many people and businesses are still struggling to rebuild their lives.
It is hard to know how to continue to help with the recovery effort, as people’s needs vary so much. However, one easy thing that YOU can do straight away to help is next time you eat out, eat out at a flood affected restaurant and support them with your custom.
Plan your next dinner date with your husband / lover / girlfriends / work colleagues / friends at one of the many restaurants in Rosalie, West End, Eagle Street Pier precinct in the Brisbane City, who were hit hard by the floods.
With the kind help of Martin Duncan from Freestyle Tout in West End, I thought I would try and start a list, to make it easy for you to choose a flood affected Brisbane restaurant next time you eat out. I am limiting this list to only restaurants / cafes who were affected by the floods and who are open for your business.
I start this post with only a handful in Rosalie, Milton, West End and Brisbane City but I know there would be many restaurants affected in other areas so please comment on this post, or send me details of others that you know of, or that I have missed:

Have I missed one off the list? Please comment below or email me at tara@socialmoney.com.au and I will happily add on.
Thanks tara, that is brilliant. When I’m next in Vegas I definitely will. Love how Brisbane supports it’s people!!!
Hey Tara! Awesome idea. Will share this around x
Don’t forget the amazing Rouj Lebanese found at Rosalie Mews! The most amazing food that has people travelling from across Brisbane to enjoy!
Not only have they had to recover from the flood (soon after opening), but they were also victims of a robbery last week. Support local people!
