This Sunday 4th March is Clean Up Australia Day!

Clean Up Australia Day is a simple way you can take action to clean up, fix up and conserve our prized Australian environment.

Last year in 2011, an estimated 565,510 volunteers cleaned up 16,454 tonnes at 7,479 sites right across Australia. But this year the team at Clean up Australia Day 2012 are trying to out-do themselves, and want to beat last years efforts – and this means, THEY NEED YOU!

There will be teams all over Australia taking part this Sunday, 4 March 2012.  Most likely there will be one near you, in your local park, kids playground, along the river or creek, actually in most public places!  You can either register a team or join someone elses team – what a great way to teach your kids about keeping Australia beautiful and also meet other like-minded members of your community!

For more information go to the Clean Up Australia Day wesbite here.

So go on, help Keep Australia Beautiful!
