I have been to lamington drives, eaten my way through chocolate drives, but never attended a GOAT DRIVE!! So I am excited to share the good news, Bleeding Heart and Oxfam Australia are coming together to present their fifth annual Goat Drive 2013.
Bleeding Heart at 166 Ann Street in Brisbane’s CBD, will be hosting this annual event in the historic School of Arts building which boasts it’s beautiful Queenslander style veranda – the perfect location for Friday afternoon drinks. So bypass your usual TGIF bar as 100% of bar profits buy goats for Oxfam Unwrapped! Music, nibbles and raffles all from 5pm.
Over the past four years Bleeding Heart has helped buy 130 goats, with the addition of ducks, manure and a collection from the Oxfam Unwrapped catalogue. This year marks their biggest goal yet, they are aiming for 100 goats, and they need your help Brisbane!
HOW IT WORKS: Bleeding Heart donates 100% of profits from the evening to Oxfam Unwrapped Appeal buying goats to encourage business for African communities. You will also be able to purchase additional goats for donation on the evening.
This event will be held from 5pm on Friday the 20th of September, running through till 10pm.
Bleeding Heart is a profit for purpose business which means 100% of profit goes back to the community.
EVERYONE WELCOME – please tell your friends, work colleagues and family!
This is an 18+ event.
Table bookings welcome but not essential.
Follow Bleeding Heart on facebook or twitter or visit their website here.
How much are tickets? This sounds like a great event!
Hi Daile, I dont think it is a ticketed event. Just all proceeds from bar go to the cause, and I am sure there will be plenty of other ways for you to help buy a goat there, raffles etc. I think it will be a fantastic night!
Awesome! Thanks! 🙂
