LEARN THE ART OF THE GRANNY SQUARE IN THIS FUN ONE DAY WORKSHOP – in Brisbane, Sydney, Warragul and Canberra.

Don’t let the art of crochet be lost! Learn from the pros how to transform a ball of yarn into a fabulous creation and discover an addictive new hobby.

One day workshops are $60 per person, and ALL tuition fees from Crochet for a Cause workshops go directly to support the work of the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital and the Hamlin College of Midwives. Each session is capped at 10 people and tuition fees fund the cost of a standard obstetric fistula operation for one brave patient in Ethiopia.

Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia (Australia) is a charity registered in Australia to raise funds exclusively for the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital, supporting five regional centres, the Hamlin College of Midwives and Desta Mender, a farm and training centre for long-term patients. Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia (Australia) is the only organisation in Australia authorised to represent the inspiring work of Dr Catherine Hamlin and her team in Ethiopia. Learn more about Dr Catherine Hamlin and her life work here.

If you have already mastered the granny square, dont worry and read on!  There is a new class ‘Beyond the granny square’.  Learn some new stitches, how to read a crochet pattern and chart and start using your new knowledge straight away. You can make either flowers and trims, or fancy granny squares. Use your new skills to build a cushion cover, a tea cozy, or start your own fancy project!
